At long last, my seemingly never-ending quest for an all-around headset for my Moto-Q is over! Trust me, I have purhased over 15 and still have 7 sets kicking around in my junk drawer. Honestly, I did not have much hope that the Nokia BH-900 would work for me, but it did and then some.
I had (4) basic requirements:
- Comfort fit for extended wear
- Reliable connections (both answering and initiating calls) with my Q
- Good audio quality and noise reduction
- Better than average volume
The Nokia has exceeded my expectations in all categories. The connection reliability is better than many Motorola headsets I've used, in fact, the signaling tones make the Q answer delay tolerable. The comfort is second to none - While it takes some practice to put this around your ear, once its on, I can wear this headset for hours and not even feel its there. All of the Motorola over the ear-clip sets caused me pain within the first 30 minutes, and I cannot seem to keep the ear-bud only sets in my ear without them falling out. I even think that this set is more comfortable than the Jawbone (which had chronic signalling problems with my Q). Finally, I own a convertable and found that most other headsets, including the Jawbone, had inadequate volume and did not do enough to reduce noise. The Nokia is so good, I often have to turn the volume down (which is very intuitive with a 'rocker' style volume control) and everyone has no trouble hearing me, especially with the extendable boom.
Dispite its unusual looks, this set has it all! I wish I had purchased this set years ago.
