Mark/Space has released an update version 4.03 to The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile is the popular software that connects and synchronizes smartphones and mobile devices running Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system to Mac computers. Version 4.0.3 provides many enhancements, including improved Bluetooth connectivity and synchronization, increased performance of devices mounted on the desktop for Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, SMS and Call log application improvements, and better compatibility with Apple's Leopard firewall when connecting via WiFi. This update is free for all owners of The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 4.0. To get the update, select Check for Update from the Missing Sync menu in the application. A direct download and release notes for this update are available from Mark/Space. This update includes all changes and fixes included in previous updates to The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 4.0, including Leopard compatibility. Qualified owners of older versions of The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile can upgrade to version 4.0.3 for $24.95. Along with a number of new features that include video encoding for mobile playback and notes synchronization, the 4.0 release provides the most robust support for devices running the Windows Mobile operating system - from Windows Mobile 2002 to Windows Mobile 6. It broke and stopped working on our machines after the update on June 5, 2008. Today is July 30, 2008 and they still have no idea what's wrong and will not refund the purchases (purchased 12/2007).
Pete at Markspace states that they are still looking into it, but after 47 emails back and forth and having us send them various dumps and logs, no luck. It was a good app while it worked but now Markspace refuses to refund the license purchases and yet can't get it to work...
