2007 Daylight Savings Time Moto Q Software UpdateMarch 7, 2007
By: Christopher Meinck
Beginning in 2007, daylight saving time (DST) will be extended in the United States and Canada (where DST is observed). DST will start on March 11, 2007, which is three weeks earlier than usual, and it will end on November 4, 2007, one week later than usual. This change adds four weeks of DST to the calendar. A software update for the Moto Q and Windows Mobile smartphones is available through Microsoft. There are directions available for users who connect their Moto Q to their PC and for Moto Q owners who do not connect to their PC. This update is recommended for owners who live in the United States and Canada. Note: This patch also corrects a problem with the previous patch that was issued a few weeks prior to this release. Those who installed the original DST patch discovered their appointments were off by an hour between March 11th and April 1st, when DST would have began if the old rules were still in effect. The new version of Microsoft's DST software update corrects this problem. Set as favorite Bookmark

| so here's the scoop on this new patch. i installed it and now my clock is an 1hr back than it should be and again, all my appointments are now an hour later. please save yourself the trouble and dont download this patch, just wing it until next monday when all should be well again. DST is stupid. Anyone in favour of getting rid of this system on a global level? | |

| I can't believe it but Chris was right. Same problem that he had. You would think the folks at Motorola could write a simple patch | |

| Just applied it and the patch actually works, but you must make sure that your time and timezone settings are correct after applying. | |
