Sprint Releases Moto Q 9cNovember 20, 2007

Sprint has officially released the Moto Q 9c, a variant of the Moto Q 9m released earlier this year by Verizon Wireless. 
Click to enlarge. The Moto Q 9c from Sprint features Windows Mobile 6 and features a new ultra-thin, extended battery standard. The battery does extend off the back of the Moto Q similar to previous extended batteries, but does offer 7.2 hours of talk time. Some noticeable changes from the Moto Q 9m include SprintTV and the Moto Q 9c is GPS enabled. The Moto Q 9c is geared towards the professional audience, so gone is the red casing accents of the Moto Q 9m replaced with a BlackBerry inspired silver. The Sprint Moto Q 9c retails for $449.99, but is available through Sprint for $149.99 after rebates with a 2-year agreement. Set as favorite Bookmark

I bought the Q9c the day it came out! Its awesome so far!! Ive noticed alot of upgrades from the previous Q. Extended battery life, sprint TV, GPS... and the list goes on the more I play with it. So far its been a great phone!!  |

The second one, the phone kept re-setting itself repeatedly. Now the phone I got today has already done that and the screen went white for a bit. Xcbuffrunner, I think i'll be joining you very soon. I've been looking at the Moto Q9C and I am sold. I hope I do not have to face the same issues as i've had with the Centro. If you don't mind, what were some of the problems...if any that you had with your Centro..? | |

| What I dont like about this phone is the very limited ability to customize the applications, you are pretty much stuck with what is offered. for example, under contacts u can only save contacts as; BUSINESS, PERSONAL, SEASONAL, HOLIDAY - You can't send pictures using txt u must use a mail client, if may set the right soft key to any app. but if you get a message your soft key automatically is pathed to it (so if someone is using ur phone, no privacy). Bottom line, returning it and going back to my blackberry. | |

Used MOTO Q9C for almost a month..happy for the most part. TV is a little sluggish at some point, but I am not expecting great either. Download Live Search app on this phone for maps and looking up business address and number etc. Every time I use this application, went to Task Manager, the phone freeze. I can't kill this app!!! Anyone seeing this problem? Any fix for this yet? The ONLY way I can get it to work is to turn the phone off and back on. At one point, the phone doesn't want to turn back on, I had to remove the battery to make it turn back on...any help out there? |

Tobey, The Q 9C does have Outlook. I am using this phone to get messages for my work and it syncs with our Exchange server. I found Outlook under Start - Messaging - B) Outlook Email |

i installed google maps 2.xx on my q9c but i could not make it to use gps to get my location. every time i select Use GPS from menu option on google maps, it says "Seeking GPS Satellites (0) ..." and after a while it says "Your GPS is having trouble tracking GPS Satellite...." did anyone have similar problems? Thanks. |

I'm on the phone with Sprint right now. The reps act like they have no clue about the blocked picture and video mail. However, they're still selling the Picture Mail package for this phone. So once I get off the phone with them, I'm going to report it to my attorney general.  |

well i jusssst bought the phone but im still waiting for it to come in. in all honesty the regular moto q suckeeeeed! it had so many gliches, errors, & would always freeze. from the looks of the 9c it seems like they've fixed all those problems. it sucks that u still cant picture message but eh? oh and what about the ring tone audio quality? the reg moto q sucked! 9c any better? let me know, thanks  |

Does the new 9c allow the user to dial by name? The old Q did not allow this (or I never figured out how). it did not have letter assigned to the numbers, and unlike the Blackberry pressing the actual letter on the keyboard to not trigger the associated "tone" as if dialing by name on any other phone. Feedback is appreciated! |

I just got one for work and the feature set is real nice. The GPS Navigation is the best I have seen for a phone and Sprint TV also has nice features. Now for the issues, The phone locks up abit much. I have to restart it several times a day. The phone will look like its working but I can not receive/make any phone calls or use any other features that require it to connect to the sprint network. Also, my bluetooth headset seems to not work well at all with this phone. I have the BT8040 that I just bought, it works well with my verizon phone, I tried it with the T-Mobile Dash and it works very well with my laptop.. just not this phone (Q 9c). the sound comes out very computerized and people say I sound the same. The bluetooth is just hit and miss. Also the bluetooth connection to my laptop is also kind of hit and miss as well. I'v decided to goto a sprint store to see about a replacement, hopefully they can help me out. But otherwise.. this phone is way to buggy for business use. |
