Sprint Moto Q 9c EOL

By: Christopher Meinck
June 19, 2008

Several reports have been coming in that the Sprint Moto Q 9c is no longer available for purchase on Sprint's website. Sprint customer service representatives have confirmed the Moto Q 9c is not available and will not be restocked. With both the Moto Q and Moto Q 9c out of stock at Sprint, it could be that we are due to see a new Moto Q release, despite no rumors of such a device.

There is an active discussion on this topic in our Motorola Q forums. If anyone from either Sprint or Motorola can confirm or deny the EOL of the Sprint Moto Q 9c, please contact us.

Q9c now at Verizon

I'm thinking there is some sort of refresh going on. After all the Q9m from Verizon just "went away" only to be replaced with... a Q9c.

Yes, I Also confirmed that you can't but a moto q 9c from sprint anymore.

They've also stopped selling accessories so those of us with those phones can no longer buy accessories from sprint either.
Actually, you can still get a Moto Q9c with Sprint Contract - I just did!

Yes,it is not at the stores, nor at the sprint website, but if you go to the motorola.com website, you can buy a Moto Q9c with a Sprint Contract through their store, $50 less than Sprint charged at their website even with rebate, but you DO pay an activation fee of $36 to talk to a very nice person will he or she flips a virtual switch, unlike it was at the sprint website. Still saved $14, and my wife got the phone she wanted!

No official comments from Sprint?

They just might be discontinuing it altogether. Usually they'd build up hype on new devices before their release. (It was a Verizon exclusive device for quite a while anyways, it's their baby.)
