How do I set up dot Mac mail settings on the Moto Q

The Motorola Q will automatically retrieve settings when you initially set up your email account. You might want to adjust the settings if you have problems sending email through your dot Mac account.

Press the Email button to access your email accounts.

Press the right soft button
Select Options
Select choice 'E' for New Account
Enter your full name
Enter your dot Mac email address. For example, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
Leave the box checked to Attempt to obtain email settings from the server.
The Moto Q will attempt to obtain your email settings. If it is unable, simply press next and you can enter them manually.
Your username should be username
Enter your password and check the box to remember your password.
Server type should be set to IMAP4
Incoming Server: mail.mac.com
Do not check Require SSL Connection
Check the box "Outgoing server requires authentication".
Press next and set paramters for what you'd like the Moto Q to download from your dot Mac account and press next.
You can set your Moto Q to automatically retreive mail from your dot Mac account. Intervals include Never, 15 minutes, half hour, every hour, every two hours, every six hours or once a day.
Press next and then finish.
