Time zone sync with Outlook 2007

I have a Motorola Q that I am syncing with my XP running Outlook 2007. Appointments synchronize, but some appointments get updated on my Q as GMT and not MDT (7 hours difference).

I have the latest Q patch for DST. The timezone on my phone, computer, and Outlook are all set to MDT. I am using a POP/SMTP email service with Outlook, not Exchange

Any idea why only some appointments, and not all, come across with the wrong time zone?
