System Tools or Repair Motorola Updater from Website won't update

I have had my Q for almost 2 years and realized that I haven't had the software updated. I went to the Motorola website and downloaded the updater. It will connect to my device; but when it starts to download the updated software it will get to 1% and then say that it has encountered an error. It tells me to turn the phone off then back on; reconnect the USB. I have done this many times even tried removing and reinstalling the Program on my desktop. Can you please help with this?

Thanks,
Neice

Try a master reset before you update. There's nothing to lose since it does this when updating anyway.

make sure you backup your data before doing either. Odds are it will be erased during the update.
