System Tools or Repair Backup files

Ok..I feel like an idiot. The crystal on my phone broke so I cant see the screen at all. I have Windows Vista and use Windows mobile device center. my question is.. how do i get the information from my phone to my computer? I can link the usb cord, explore the files on the phone, but i cant find contacts and calendar. Using windows mobile device center gives me the option to manage what files are sync'd, but when i try to choose options it wont check any boxes except 'mobile favorites'.. I really need my calendar and contact info..anyone have ANY ideas???????? thanks in advance!!

explore the Q and look for a file called pim.vol It has that info. Copy it to pc/storage card and transfer it back to replacement.

i got the files to save to my memory card fine. When i inserted the card in the new phone, i used explorer to find the file on my memory card, and tried to send it to the phone itself, overriding the empty pim file on it. For some reason it wont let me copy to the drive directly without putting it in a folder. so... now which folder do i put it in? it was not ina folder when i copied it from the drive to the card ..... when i try to copy and paste it says " cannot copy pim- the phone has stopped responding or has became disconnected" yet.. mobile device center says connected and sync'd

just put it in any folder
then copy it to the correct location
