I set up a Yahoo IMAP account a couple of months ago when I got my Motorola Q and it was working great updating me of new email every hour as programmed up until a week or so ago.
Now, the phone stoped the updates and everytime I go to send/recieve, it prompts me to enter my password even though it is saved in the initial setup.
Then when I cancel the log on I get an error message stating it was unable to initialize and couldnt connect to incoming mail server. please verify that your login information is correct and try again.

you might want to try to re-create your account and see if it takes again
Same exact thing happened to me. Create a new Yahoo account but do it manually as a POP3 account, not IMAP. Use the Yahoo incoming and outgoing servers (see their website for POP3). Oh, by the way, I have the Yahoo Plus for $19.95 a year - you may have to get that. Be sure to set the Outgoing Server Settings (enter your password here as well)
Ohhhhhhh NOOOOO!!!!!!! I just set up IMAP account on my Q. Don't TELL me it's gonna crap out on me in a month or 2 like POP3 did just for that stinkin $20 bucks subscription yahoo wants....ArrrrGGGHHHH!!!!!!
