The only problem I am having with WM5 is that it is Microsoft WM5. I got to play with a Linux smartphone this past weekend. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Machina Optimus!!!!!!!! (Yeah, more Latin.)

i don't think i would mind running Linux on my phone.... what phone is that ?

I have a cousin that works for a US governmetn agency in 'somewhere' in Asia. He uses an E28 Hawk phone when there. He brought it home and I got to play with it a little bit. Someday, we'll dump MS for something else.

I was speaking with a Verizon's tech support rep yesterday regarding my Q. He told me that verizon is working on an upgrade for the silver and black Q. he does not know the date that the upgrade will be available but ...

I think that the issue might me that Verizion doesn't want false information getting out so they have given their employees a party line to regurgitate when someone asks.

or

There also is the possibility a that when Verizion releases the WM6 upgrade that their stock might benefit from it. If this is the case they are not releasing the information because it would count as "insider information" and would present Verizion with some very interesting legal issues.

then again it could be a simple case of "the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing".

Just my 2 cents.

WRONG...

VZW is owned by STAKEHOLDERS. This means that it is NOT a publicly traded company and thus does not have STOCK. The reason that we are not telling you to upgrade or don't is very simple.

Verizon Wireless likes to make sure that all software has been fully tested and that majority of or ALL bugs are worked out. VZW is never first to release anything. Now since you own your phone the company cannot tell you to NOT update the device to WM6. However, VZW is not pushing to have the device upgraded by its users to WM6 until there is a semi-guarrantee that it is wroking fairly well and that there won't be a lot of complications or unhappy customers coming back because of malfunctions.
