Default what happens after X number of replacements?

What happens after replacing the Q so many times? I am on my 4th or 5th Q now and I'm thinking, if I have to go back one or two more times is it possible to get a different phone completly or some kind of upgrade without paying full price? I love the Q but I cant stand going to the verizon store almost every other week for another unit. If I counted the units I recieved from verizon, that I found to be nonfuctional b4 leaving the store I would have about 8 or 9 units by now.

you should just be able to tell them that you no longer want this phone has you have had X number of phones and they have all been not working properly and that you want another phone at no cost to you....be forceful and give them the numbers and tell them that it is unacceptable blah blah blah...go forth and conquer!

i'm at #3, if that goes, i'm not going to deal with it. I'm so early in my contract, that a $175 ETF would be well worth it to walk away. Plus, after rebate, I got the phone for free anyways.

I mean, in the end, it's just a phone. how much aggravation is it worth it to waste your time to make it work?

If this was a big screen TV or worse, a car, NOBODY would put up with that type of failure rate.

Yep, the walkaway fee is a small price to pay for your sanity!

I dont really want to walk away from Verizon just the Q if I keep having to get replacement units. Right now i'm on my 4th or 5th, it was going well until recently when Ive been having the same issues with text messaging as some others. Sometimes I get my txts immediatly, sometimes i'll get them an hour to 24hours later. Oddly enough I have some co-workers with Cingular that have been experiencing the same thing so i dont know if this is a NYC thing or what. but it gets annoying real quick. Does anyone have any advice on what to say to a customer rep when demanding a different unit?

I can picture them arguing with me already that I am stuck with the device I purchased and nothing can be done unless I purchase a new device for full retail.

I had to replace my Q today too, my first one. I called up the 800# and they are sending me out a new one.

Have you investigated the thread about texts longer than 160 characters. Apparently if you check your voicemail you will get any text msgs that you are missing/stuck.

My girlfriend's sister went through something like 5 LG Chocolates, and she went in and demanded a different phone, and they gave her that slick new LG made of all illuminum.

I think I am going to go with a 1 year next time, this whole 'not upgrading' thing is quite sad.... This time last year I was enjoying my brand new Q
