I am on my 3rd Q and I am about ready to get another one. I was told at one store that I could get another phone, but pay the difference if the cost was more. I hate to take them up on the offer of a new phone, but my Q is really getting on my nerves. To the question, apparently VZW has a 3 strikes and your out deal with it's phones. You just have to go find out. They change things all the time.

I am left to running the basic included apps to see if it the after market software or the phone. I am adding new stuff little at a time to figure out what is going on.

When do we stop supporting the Q? Contrary to what I may have said in the past, but I am getting disenchanted with the Q.

Anyone want my accessories if I don't need them? LOL!

I'm starting to feel the same way. It's like I think really, really hard before doing any tweak or hack on my Q. I have it working consistently and don't want to rock the boat. But you shouldn't have to baby your phone like that.

Hopefully, there'll be something better in 2 years, but I definitely know I can't live without a qwerty keyboard on my phone anyone. The Q has spoiled me.

I talked to a CSR yesterday, she said that since I had been having trouble with my phone and I am on my third, I could get a lesser than or equal to phone. But, first I had to talk to a tech. The tech said that the 3rd strike rule applied if you had three phones with the same problem. Other than that, you have to keep getting different Q's until your contract runs out. What are the chances of getting three phones with the same problem? Practically NIL! Again...one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing.

The, low and behold, the tech checked my equipment history and told me that I am only on my second phone. Bull! It just so happens that the last time I changed Q's, I went to the VZW store, the exchange was not documented. Bend over dude!

They are going to get tired of me. I have until January when the warranty runs out on my Q. How many Q's can you get in a 6 month period? LOL! Let's fine out....one...two...

The secret is how big you are and how big of a donkey's behind you can be. They hate me at my VZW store because I dont put up with their crap and lies. When I took my 2nd silver Q back with the lockup problem that they were in denial about, I took a whole stack of print-outs of the 400 post threads on this forum, qusers, and the Motorola "support" (no comment) forums. I took the manager back to his office and showed him all the posts, and I told him I am well aware of the problems these phones are having and that he will remedy this to my satisfaction or he will be talking to my lawyer. I then got a brand new black Q and havnt had any problems since. That contract works both ways, they have to provide a reasonable level of service too.
