What can I do without a data plan?

I am going to cancel my data plan and get a data block for the month of June. I can't use it in Hattiesburg, MS any way, so why pay for it?

like they said, if you dont want to get charged, HAVE THEM BLOCK THE INTERNET ACCESS!! Otherwise, you may find yourself paying per kb for what the phone did by itself, not b/c you were on the net!!!

Maybe someone lied to me - but I was told with Verizon you can't do that. The phone automatically connects. My browser hasn't worked in the last month and a half and I streamed 1.4MB in that time period. I never went on the web...not even once. I have a data package - but it was still a lot of activity for not using the web at all.

I finally blocked my data access. I dont browse the internet anyway, at least not if I have to pay more than my pc broadband access. The only thing Ive lost is the ability to send picture messages - which is too bad. But last month I was charged $40 for data even though I never used the internet and didnt want that to happen again.

The thing that really ticks me off is that 2 VW reps told me that picture messaging would no longeer use kb data, while 2 others told me that it does. Since I couldnt get their own employees to figure this out, I just blocked data access on my Q phone.
