Western NY Verizon... constantly roaming?

Hello all

I'm in Western NY state and just picked up a used Q. It works great except for the fact that even though I'm in an area where I was NEVER roaming with my Razr, this thing says I'm roaming. If I dial 228 and hit option two, it often goes right out, but if I go across town or the next town it's doing it all over again.

Once again, I was never in roaming or 'extended network' unless I went hundreds of miles from home before. What's this thing's problem?

its lost, and cant find a tower. have you called your service provider and have them look into it?
