VZW, the Q9C, and WM 6.1

From a VZW tech, should be abailable before the end of the quarter. It will most certainly be abailable on the Motorola site and FREE as always. I personally hope that it comes soon.

I had the Samsung i730, and the Windows Mobile 5 upgrade was available on all kinds of forums long before Verizon released it. Same thing with 6 and 6.1 on PocketPCs. There are so many cooked 6.1 ROMs for the Kiaser/Tilt you could load a different one for every day of the week (maybe even the month).

What really hurts is that you can even get 0S4.5 for Blackberry to work on Verizon's phones and that hasn't been official release anywhere in North American yet.

Are the good hackers just bored with the Q9c and smartphones in general? What makes them unwilling, unable, or uninterested in cooking the ROMs for it?

Thanks! But I think I'll wait for the official release, if there is one that is. I just can't risk messing up my phone because I'm way to technologically challenged to fix anything.

I know, everything I've read says how great it is. I even downloaded the two files but just too chicken to put them on the phone. Plus, I don't really know how to do it all, despite the instructions.
