Which version of WMDC do you have? What type of Vista?

I'm not sure how to know which version of WMDC, it's from the CD that came with the device. I have no clue how to tell which version of Vista I'm running, but I've only had the computer for about a month. I'm not extremely technically inclined, my apologies.

I have verizon the cd that came with the phone was active sync which won't work go to microsoft and download windows mobile device center and also go into settings and UNCHECK allow advanced network connection. should work then

I always have that unchecked, but I read for the update it needs to be checked. The update software won't recognize my phone when it's not checked. But thanks!

I did the early upgrade but mine was uncheckked?

Be sure to follow the "guidelines and instructions" doc that is linked on the Motorola web page for the Verizon Q9c.
