ARE YOU SURE that this isn't just an incremental update - NOT WM 6.1 ????
(File looks definitely too small !!!!!) + NO info on the VZW site.

I tried downloading it and I get an error that the update has not been completed so I don't know if it's the actual 6.1 update or not.

What does it tell you to do next?

It tells me to reconnect my phone to the USB, turn the phone off and restart it, then reconnect it to the computer. I can't turn it off because it's in the flash mode screen so I have to take the battery out. After I plug it back into the computer the update tells me it's not the same device as the original. I don't know what's wrong with it, I'll just not update I guess.

are you guys trying to have it backup your data for you?
if so try backing it up manually and see if you can skip that step

worked for a member doing an update last night

I'm just following the steps as it tells me. I connect my phone and it says updating device then all of a sudden just stops and gives me the error. It doesn't seem like you can skip anything.

No it is not even asking about a backup.
The moto software does a connect.
Then it checks and says that there is an update available.
then it starts to install. The Q9c show it is booting from flash and that the USB cable is connected. Then the error shows up.
