Can do a lot more than email. For example, mine is setup to sync Contacts, Calendar, Email and tasks. The nice thing is that you can configure it on the Q, so in my organization, there are people who only want email synced and not taks, calendar, etc....

Don't forget there are a lot of nice little ways you can configure when it syncs.
For example. I have my peak times set for Monday-Sunday 7am-7pm, so during those times, my Q is synced "As Items Arrive" so as items hit our exchange server, they hit my Q. The for my "Off Peak" hours, I have it set to sync every 4 hours.
Just one of the many ways you can configure it to work for you. I learned the hard way because of my wife. At first it was set to just sync all hours all days, and after 1 night of the phone going off in the middle of the night, my wife was ready to throw the phone out the window.

I've set up wireless sync and its working to sync email and calendars...

I'm wondering however about the following items:

- syncing email inbox sub-folders doesn't seem to work. any tips on that?

- i have no idea how to use the "Files" or "Backup/Restore" items in the Wireless Sync application on my phone? Any ideas?

- we use a shared contact list that contains all of our internal email addresses. is there any way to get this to sync with my phone?

I appreciate any tips that anyone may have.

Default sync not showing opened emails

I recently removed pc monitor 'cause I didnt want the computer on all the time. I configured email source to my company exchange server. The emails are appearing in the wirelessync.vzw.com control panel but they are NOT showing up as having been read (which they are and appear that way in both my outlook and on the exchange server. My outlook syncs fine to the exchange server and vice versa so why doesn't the Q? I have my settings set for push only unread email-- so it's constantly pushing EVERYTHING everytime because its incorrectly interpreting those emails as unread.

DONT want to go back to PC monitor as that was a nightmare and it deleted emails on my corporate server. ALSO did not show open emails as opened with PC monitor either.

Verizon tech support told me that without PC monitor, there is no way to have the emails actually show they've been read-- so I'm seriously considering ditching this whole thing and sending it back to Verizon and trying a blackberry or something...

I'm a mom and need to just be able to read and respond to critical work emails while I"m at a field trip or something-- but so far, I've not been able to configure it to JUST download new emails I've not seen yet....

PLEASE help?!

Is it possible to have your IT folks set your Q to get mail directly from your companies servers? Worth a try worse they can say is no

I believe it is directly connecting to the servers-- as I set that as the "email source" as well as entered the exchange server info on the moto-- I just called tech support AGAIN and they are now saying that all my email will always appear as unopened because it's grabbing it right as it comes off the server. I'm not reading threads that this is the case for anyone else on this forum--- you all seem to be getting emails like they should off the imap and without having to have the computer on all the time.

Right now, I'm giving it one more tech support try on saturday but in the meantime I'm surfing info on the blackberry curve. It appears to have a completely different functionality when it comes to getting emails. Still only on day 5 of the 30 day review period so I'm counting on being able to send it all back to Verizon and say, thanks, but no thanks.
