Default Verizon Unlimited Data: Can I go over and be charged?

well this is a question that I should probaly call customer support but I thought this may be easier. I recently purchased a Q without the intentions of buying the data plan and just using it for texts, however after realizing all the neat things you could do I aded the unlimited data plan. Well I am at home for the summer and my parents do not have internet at our house (they arnt very computer savvy) therefore I have my Q teehered using pdanet. Since my computer is on all day I leave my Q connected and use it for internet, is this a good idea or should I be expecting an outrageous bill? I dont download to ofton..maybe a song here or there...is this ok??

if you have an unlimited data plan (5gig limit) you should be ok as long as you dont exceed the above mentioned limit. if you do...vzw can terminate your contract and you will be SOL
so just watch your usage by using the VZW homepage or by dialing #data on your phone....

how can they claim to sell you an "unlimited" data plan then cut you off at 5gb? is that so people dont use it as their primary internet source?

if i'm in the VZW home service area (not roaming), I'm able to make those "inquiry" calls and get the confirming text messages. When I'm ROAMING, i usually get a call fail.

Default Yes You Can Go Over Your Limit.

I work for VZW and I can tell you that if you use the data connection excessively, As stated more than the 5 gig limit service can be terminated and they can pretty much charge you for all the extra usage. The official reason is because BroadBand Access connect is designed to be used for light internet browsing and email. They put it in the Terms and Conditions but who's gonna read the 25 pages of legalese. I defiantly wouldn't recommend using it for download stuff of Limewire or Torrents but as long as you don't go crazy you should be alright. They will be able to tell by the usage if you were using it as a "substitute for a hard line broadband connection" and then you'll be DC and F*cked.
