So the Q should run this new Ev-DO Rev. A network fine when/if it gets enabled in your area, right?

Are we talking about the Motorola Q? The author says "Samsung Q1," then later just "Q1." I don't think he is talking about the same device we have.

Here's a link to the Samsung Q1...

http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/m...q1_v000suk.asp

It's not that same as a Motorola Q.

As for the EV, I can get that now (partially, there is a new tower 15-20 miles away and I get service in some areas and not in others.). It's not a big deal. I've not a great increase in upload or download speeds. Don't get too excited though, VZW is slow to get the new towers up and running. We have one in our area because of the state college. The largest city in the area is not covered with EV. The new revision may show a greater increase in speed. Just have to wait and see.

The revision A will require a software update if not a firmware update. The revision a is a different hardware altogether, but it is backwards compatible with Revision 0. There will have to be an update, because there is no way other than through updating. I am excited for a revision a.

Anyway to find out when it will be coming to the Los Angeles area and if I can join the testers? Sounds like fun to me....

The only thing you can do is call VZW.

The Q is a Rev. 0 device and will not support Rev. A.
