Default verizon q9c + 29.99 data plan

Hey all, I am semi confused. I know wireless sync is not suppose to work (how does it know not to work on the 29.99 plan, isn't it still just data?), are there other programs you can use to get push email, or just check your email in general on the q9c (such as polling a server instead of push etc)? Can you setup gmail in outlook and just have it check etc? thanks guys! sorry very new to the email scene .

So I can't accidentally use it then correct? Also, what would be another viable option to get push email?

What Verizon "locks down" is the VZW Wireless Synch. This is their calendar/contacts feature. I use this instead of Outlook, because it's web based. If I'm at my work PC, and I need to pull up the calendar and add/delete/edit information, it's easier to do this on the pc than on the phone (repeating information such as when calendar events occur/start end/etc...). This info is sent almost instantly to the Q. Contacts are easier to edit also.

I know Outlook does the same thing, but it is not web based, so if you keep the calendar on the office PC, you can't edit info from the home pc.

For wireless synching of contacts, calendar, etc, I use a SyncML client with a free mobical.net account. It works well - although at some point I will have to pay $30 for a license for the SyncML client (Synthesis AG).

Am I allowed to use mobipush with the 29.99 plan or will this incurr extra charges of some sort? (I don't know if it uses an exchange server etc and if thats allowed on the 29.99 plan) thanks all! I set it up using the active sync settings on the website.
