Well.. the deed is practically done. Called VZW today and I am set to switch when my month rolls over (in 5 days). I've removed Wireless Sync from my phone and deactivated everything at the VZW Wireless Sync website.

When I look up the new plan on VZW's website, it says I need to download a program for email. The CSR said nothing about this. For those who've switched, what do I need to do?

I'm happy... my corporate discount still applies to the new plan, so I'll be shaving $15 off my total bill. EverythingQ saves me money yet again! (Bought a few pieces of software from here when I first signed up at a great discount).

The software is their email app which works for push email, but to me at least isn't as robust as the default app built into the device. You don't need to use their app for mail.

This is the program that folks are talking about.

http://solutions.vzwshop.com/vzstart/emailandweb/

Yahoo, AOL and Windows Live Hotmail are pushed to your phone in near real-time. If you set us a POP3 account, it is the same as before with Wireless Sync where mail is checked at a periodic on the server and then pushed to your phone.

Alright...I can't believe I just read 36 pages to get here.... but I was intrigued with the varying experiences with Verizon CS.

I got my first Q (original) a month ago.... had them switch my ESN (bought the Q of eBay). Got concerned with the data cost because I was on the $15.99 vcast thing or whatever. They told me they had already put me on the $44.99 unlimited data plan when I added my Q.... behind the guy was a sign showing a Q9m and a couple other phones with $29.99 UNLIMITED data on it. So, I asked the guy and he trys to switch me... no dice.

Left there frustrated and got CS on the phone... explained what I wanted... whalla... done.

So what plan would be best if I *don't* need tethering, or push e-mail... I just need unlimited web browsing, data transfers, that sorta thing...

Tethering doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me, because my entire campus is set up for Wi-Fi and so is my work, and as amazing as EVDO is... it's not as amazing as Wi-Fi.

how much would I be looking at for just basic unlimited data on a q9c?
