Im not the primary line on that account so I get "crap" for up dating my phone. lol Unless I can convince man kid to upgrade to the Q9c and he can keep his EnV and I can up grade to what ever he wants and just switch.

That is a good point.
just outta curiousity did you go with an unlimited or the new nationwide. The unlimited are so expensive. But we/he pays over 200 now for two phones (cough) because of my habits.

Music or Audio Bill??

My husband just sent in the bill for my phone. $200.00 per month average. I have the family share plan. 1400 shared minutes for $79.99. Two additional phones (daughter & son) at $10.00 each. 250 text messages for daughter at $5.00 per month. (Son doesn't use enough to warrant this...he is on pay as you go for the text). $44.99 data plan for my Q. $5.99 insurance plan for the Q. Picture plan on Q and daughters phone at 5.00 each. Insurance on her phone at $5.99 (considering it is a 2 year old Razr, I could drop this coverage). Then the taxes and surcharges.

I will have to add another phone at the end of June for my youngest daughter...Yikes!

Like I said, I use the VZW wireless synch, so I don't think I can switch to the lower cost data plan....

Oh well! I guess that's why I cook every night after working all day! I like my toys!

Ugh. We're at about $180/month (down from $200+ b/c I dropped tethering for PDANet) just for my husband and me.

I really need a cheaper data plan.

Oh, I'll wait to do anything until I get my Q9c! But, I think I'll go to nationwide 1400 for 89.99 (Line 2 included), since that's 10 bucks cheaper than my current America Choice of 90$ + 9.99 for 2 lines.

Alltel Jumps on LTE Bandwagon

Today, 1:53 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Alltel announced that it has chosen LTE as its 4G network technology. The company said, however, that it will be at least three to five years before the LTE network is built out and operational. This is significant, because Alltel--a CDMA carrier--is following Verizon's footsteps by switching networking technologies to match what will likely be the 4G standard worldwide. LTE is based on current GSM standards. It means that Alltel, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless will all use similar technology for their next-generation networks. So far, Sprint has said it is sticking with WiMax as its 4G technology of choice. No one has sided with Qualcomm-developed UMB, which is the 4G evolutionary path of CDMA technology.

That sucks- I actually like Qualcomm. Obviously I don't know how inferior (if it is) their technology is.

Hope everyone is doing well... work has had me way busy, and this is the first time I've actually had time to post in 4 days.

That does kinda suck. Qualcomm made the greatest Verizon CDMA chips up until the recent Motorola stuff.

For 10.00 a month you get unlimited txt and pix messaging with 500 out of network messaging. If I understand, you are paying the same for only 250 messages.
