I get the 12% feature discount so I saved $158.40. Two tanks of gas for the Ford Explorer.

Because of the company I work for I get a 10% discount on the voice side and 12% on the feature side. The only thing that sucks is it only cover the main line not and add on lines. Oh well. I save around $13 a month or $150 a year because of the discount.

Good to hear guys... Now that it is confirmed and given to others as well I can now divulge that I had this price plan for my Q1 starting from this past Sunday... thus why I posted last Sunday that there should be some hope for all Q1 owners.

I just didn't want to come right out and state that I did indeed have that price because of what happened to Scott in the beginning (originally told that he had it but then told sorry, no...LOL).

So anyways, I'm glad it will be for everyone, because when I was told Sunday that I had that price, I was so content that I forgot to even ask if it was unilateral or just a concession for my account since I've been with them for years and years...

Please keep us informed. Using the Exchange server at work is very convienent but for $20 more a month its not that convienent.

Favorite VZW synch...

I just came back from the Verizon store, because I was looking for a phone for my youngest daughter (she is graduating elementary school, and all the middle schoolers here have phones...yeah, I know...indulgent... but for $10.00 extra on the family plan, it's not bad...she has to wait a month, though, because I want to make sure she actually graduates!!!)

Anyway...They told me that I could do the $29.00 plan for my Q, but then I couldn't use the VZW wireless Synch thing that I use for my calendar. They told me that I could use Outlook, and that was free, but not wireless. (Duh! If you have Outlook, that is!!!) Only problem: I have Outlook 2000 at home, and 2003 at the office, and they don't "synch" with each other!

My current data plan is $44.99 per month. For $15.00, I don't think dropping this feature would be worth it for me. When I put an appointment on the VZW calendar form the PC, and put in addresses and use the appointment plus, the phone gets me directions to where I'm going. (No GPS in the car...)

Does anyone else use the VZW synch? My e-mails are POP based, I believe, through the local cable company, so I don't have any exchange servers.

Any thoughts?

I'm curious..... why does one need VZW Wireless Sync? Just to let you know you have Email? I just check my Email via PIE, wouldn't that be as simple?
I know I use Active Sync on my Laptop, but I guess that's different?

Well, over the summer I'll be getting the 29.99 plan. I run my own exchange server, so we'll see how that goes. Worst case I'll turn off push and have it check every 15 mins, but the push would be nice. I'll probably get PDAnet too. Has anybody been using it on the 29.99 plan yet?
