Verizon Price Change!

im the few days i used the vzw tethering it was ok...not as fast as it claims but it worked. stayed connected longer than PDANet

When i get the laptop back ill see about PDANet again

I can't see verizon opening up the cheaper billing to the original Q owners so soon. Unless of course they have been unindated with calls complaining.

I spoke with them about it. The plan is available, it should be available to all smartphones. Why should earlier Q users be subsidising other smartphone users essentially that is the case. If it costs verizon more for data usuage for a Q someone please explain how that is possible.

Not doubting you, but the same could be said when BB users were able to get the reduced rate while Treo Users weren't..

ok all of you Q1 owners....
i have just got off the phone with VZW (by calling 611) and i am now on the 29.99 plan (assuming they dont F it up this time)

i made the CSR read it over and over again and confirmed with her that i in fact do have the cheaper rate plan

BUT...i asked the limitations...
1. no wireless sync
2. no exchange server

so go for it...call them for the cheaper plan and save some cash finally!

Sometimes I am right....no exchange= no corporate email...benefit of my boss/ father not getting a mail server, so I get the cheaper rate!!
