When I switched I asked the CSR if there were any restrictions and they said there were none. It was the same as the $45 plan but cheaper. Take it for what it's worth, every CSR will probably have a different answer. I use an outlook server with push, so if I have a problem with my next bill I'll be posting!

GirlyQ- are you still rocking the oldschool Q or a 9m? I have the regular Q and still can't get any CSR to change it for me.

The company rep called me back this afternoon. Informs me that the new plan is still eligible for the advanced device credit, so I can switch anytime. He said I am supposed to download some new app and reset my phone... not sure about that part. On the really positive side, the new plan is eligible for my corporate discount, so I can save a good bit. I will most likely switch.

ok after a couple calls and a couple dough eyed reps. I got one with Qsperience. His take on the plan pricing was a bit different and a bit complicated but it was based on how many minutes your current plan is that would discount your data plan.

since the Q i would be adding the plan to didnt appear to qualify for the discounted data plan i got a $15 5Gig tethering plan. Depending on quality of speed it could essentially replace the internet on the laptop (when the keyboard is replaced lol)
we also discussed wifi and usb cards which would be silly to me, most of my apps for the Q are on the storage card, it would be a PIA to take out the storage card to use the internet imo.

interesting how everyone gets different answers.

vz app manager. you probably have the cd.
bit who knows im Q1 and not in a business acct.

I have a Q9m. Good luck in getting them to give it to you. My husband has a Treo 700w and they wouldn't do it for him.

Then we have another account...4 phones, one Q txt only no data 2100 min

I've heard everyone's discussion on how all carriers have their problems, but that some are better than others, etc, etc.

Here's the deal- I'm a little bummed (ok, more than a little) about how VZW is not letting us Q1'ers go to the $30/ month plan, and I do believe it's because they'd rather have us buy the new device- if I was them, so would I, but given it's annoying me greatly... if I chose to dump VZW, and go to ATT with a Moto Q9h (all I can find is Q Global and now 9h, but whatever)- is there really a BIG difference in coverage and speed? It says it uses 3G, so isn't that comparable to EVDO? Truly- I have friends that have ATT and swear it works everywhere, and I've always said my VZW works well everywhere.

It'll cost me $150 to get out of my VZW contract- I might find it worth it just because. Does anyone think the Q9h is that much superior to what VZW is currently offering and/ or has planned to offer?
