Verizon offers new mobile IM

If you have VZW's App Zone installed, it is also downloadable from there. went hunting arond on my Q1 and that is the easiest way I found to get it. You can also put vCast music on the Q1 with AppZone.

ok so i now have this but it wont connect i didnt think mobile im used a data plan, any suggetions out there, i IM a lot but wont pay for data so if I could get this on the SMS that would be great

I tried to DL the VZAppZone based on the instructions on the website but all I would get was a "device not recognized error".

I called the tech support people and they said I could get the IM software by going to:

Get Apps

Mobile IM

Downloaded and installed it. Waiting the 5 minutes before reloading the IM software.

I've been using the Verizon IM program since I can't get MSN Messenger to send messages straight to my device when I'm not signed in (this used to work - I wonder if Verizon had Microsoft disable it?).

It seems to work ok, but even though it is supposedly using text messages, it doesn't send/receive if I'm on a phone call - reports network problems.

Bummer ....
