ok same thing happened to me. water damage and when it fell in the toliet it cracked the screen and an Assurion replacement arrived at my door just now. But will I run into problems when I send my broken one in? Will they see I modified it and try to F me for it?

What kind of modifications? I don't think they care, because they would have done the same thing if you lost the phone....they never would have found out about the mods. then, right? If the carrier was replacing it due to a manufacturers defect, and the "defect" was because you did something, then I could see them giving you a problem.

Assurion Insurance is a separate entity. They are supposed to cover physical damage to phone NOT due to mechanical problems...theft/water damage/cracked screen/etc...

dought they have time to look at every phone they get back. you will probably see it on EBay and someone will be posting some problem with it.
