Usage Charge

Got a quick rant. My wife and I do not text enough to have a messaging plan. I signed up for a voicemail service yesterday that in order to get a notice that you have a vm they either send a text message or an email. Well I figured I would have them send it via text and just would not open it to avoid a charge. As the day went on I started questioning whether or not I would get charged so I called VZW and sure enough even if you do not open the message you still get charged because it is sent to you. In my opinion that is BS. I understand that you can stop text messages from coming in all together but I wish I could just screen them.

i "learned" the same thing a while back, you will be charged even for unopened txt/sms message.
