NOT an April Fool's joke. That was in my email the day I posted it. I will find some kind of copy...for now I'm gonna get myself in a bit of trouble and just copy and paste my email that says it.

This will not get your out of a contract either if you are in one since the T&C says it in their for last "X" amount of months/years about the 5gigs.

Unlimited’ Terminology To Be Removed From BBA

· Effective immediately, the term “unlimited” to describe the monthly data allowance will be removed from all marketing communication materials as listed below:

o Current Direct/Indirect Business Brochure/Magazine – scheduled to be refreshed and in stores by 5/15

o All new Sales Flyers and other Area marketing communications will have the word “unlimited” removed, as well as existing materials will be updated by the end of April

o Regional Sales pitch decks and other Regional marketing materials describing BroadbandAccess must remove the term “unlimited” immediately

· Products impacted: BroadbandAccess, BroadbandAccess Connect, GlobalAccess (VZEmail and BroadbandAccess products with Megabyte allowances are not impacted)

· Terms and Conditions remain the same:

o “Anyone using more than 5GB per line in a given month is presumed to be using the service in a manner prohibited…”

o “We reserve the right to limit throughput or amount of data transferred…”

This is taken off of Sprint's Terms & Conditions page to back up what I said prior. There is a limitation from EVERY wireless carrier.

Specific Terms & Restrictions On Using Data Services
In addition to the rules for using all of our other Services, unless we identify the Service or Device you have selected as specifically intended for that purpose (for example, wireless routers, Data Link, etc.), you can’t use our data Services: (1) with server devices or host computer applications, or other systems that drive continuous heavy traffic or data sessions; and (2) as a substitute or backup for private lines or frame relay connections. We reserve the right to limit or suspend any heavy, continuous data usage that adversely impacts our network performance or hinders access to our network. If your Services include unlimited web or data access, you also can’t use your Device as a modem for computers or other equipment, unless we identify the Service or Device you have selected as specifically intended for that purpose (for example, with "phone as modem" plans, Sprint Mobile Broadband card plans, wireless router plans, etc.).


EVERY CARRIER limits the amount of bandwidth that can be used by any -one- subscriber. VZW is just the first to try not to blatantly deceive the customer into thinking it is truly unlimited by giving a realistic amount of data to expect per user during any given month. Other carriers may not give you an actual number but the are definitely watching and post that they can shut your service off...you just don't know your limit with them until it IS shut off.

well, the website still lists "Unlimited Data usage" to describe their plans, but I didn't see the website in the list of affected marketing materials... which really doesn't make any sense.

Thats the point. Of course it is too much to read...that is why carriers assume that you won't read it and just agree. There is a section that I highlighted in red...read that part.

As regards to the website...it should also be updated by May 15 with the rest of the material.

LOL now we REALLY got a problem. If you just read the BOLD print then in the second to the last paragraph you'll be set
