Default Turnning off internet

Im new to the moto Q and i find that when i get on the internet and surf around a little. i dont know how to turn off the internet. i can see that it is still on by the icon in the top right corner. i little help please....

welcome aboard...

the icon that shows you are exchanging data is a little PDA in the icon bar, the 2 arrows just mean it's ready to transfer data.

its not like that until you go onto the internet? after you go onto the internet it show the two arrows back and forth....

when you use data the crosshair like icon will change into a pda shaped icon... the arrows close to the signal bars are always there.

i had a treo before, and when i was finished with the internet i had to hit disconnect. so with my moto Q, i dont have to do anything to turn it off? just hit the home button and thats it?

right, it will only be transferring data when the pda icon is present. the Icon by the signal bars switches between data mode and voice mode as needed.

yea, what Paco said... if it makes you feel more comfortable you can go in the Task Manager and kill Internet Explorer.
