You can also look at it this way. With your monthly savings from Sprint's service vs. VZW's, how long it will take you to make up the cost of leaving VZW now? Is it worth it for you? For example, if it's $25 per month savings, then seven months will make up for the ETF. Hope this helps. |
I would wait until the two months is up unless your bill on Verizon is enormous. I made the switch, and paid the ETF to Verizon, but i had 10 months left on my contract, at 109.99/month for the 1350 min/unlimited data package, plus 10.00/mo for unlimited in network texts and only 500 out of network. With Sprint i get 900 anytime for $59.99/unlimited Sprint to Sprint, Nights/Weekends at 7pm instead of 9pm, and unlimited text regardless of carrier sent to for $10. Quite substantial savings over a long period, but i don't know if you can justify paying the ETF for just two months.
I will say, as much as I liked Verizon, I'm really surprisingly pleased with Sprint and the options they give you, and definitely with the pricing. I have found their coverage to be on par with Verizon's and it was just hard for me to justify paying that much more a month with Verizon.
My biggest gripe: No Sprint TV on the Q. I was really hoping to have that as part of the Power Vision package.
