Since 2000 free text plan can't receive picture texts - Motorola Q Forum

Since receiving the 2000 free text plan, I can't receive picture texts. When I receive a picture text, the following text says:
"You've got a PIX or FLIX message! To see it, visit www.vzwpix.com from an internet accessible computer & follow the directions"

Anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Thanks!

I think I read somebody complaining about that before, although I'm not sure if they had the PDA 2K SMS plan or not.

I know that I can send picture messages, but nobody sends them to me, so I can't tell if that works.

By the way, you do realize that you'll be charged $0.25 per picture message unless you have a Pix/Flix plan, right? The PDA 2K SMS plan is only for text messages.

Yea, I know about the 0.25 charge. I hardley receive pic texts and if I do, it's from my husband's phone. So, it's not worth it for me to get a pix/flix plan at the moment.

OK, I had my daughter send me a picture message and the picture arrived just fine on my Q; I didn't have to go a Web site to view it. I do have the PDA 2K SMS plan and we're both on Verizon.

I have heard that some people have to call Verizon to have them re-enable pix messages after getting the 2000 text plan.

It can't hurt. I didn't have to, but maybe the store rep reenabled PIX messaging after she added the PDA 2000 SMS plan.

If that's the case, maybe other reps aren't as good as the one that I had, so give it a try.

Just as an FYI, since I have had the 2000 pda allowance I have sent 2 pix messages and recieved one. Not sure if the 2000 allowance kicked in yet at that point.
