Really stupid question - Motorola Q Forum

Ok I just got rid of my VX6700, which was wireless so I never needed a data plan... now that I have a Q, I am left wondering if I need the data plan... All I need my phone for is email and 'phone'... The sales team said I can get emails without the data plan but nothing worked after setting up my wirelesssync acount last night... Am I doing something wrong? Obviously I am a noob at this... so thanks for all your help!

Emails require data, you dont need the data to get emails but you will be billed "pay as you go" for any data you use. That can get pricey really quick. As far as wireless sync goes i dont use it so i cant help you too much.

ok so theres noo way around verizons overpriced data plan??

Say I get roughly 15-20 emails a day, regular text... how many mb would that be? a guess-timate?

there are levels of data plans i believe...you dont have to get the unlimited for 44.99 but if your surfin the web it KB add up quick...you would have to call verizon to see about the plan prices
