| rant :} holy crap... my next bill is about 70 bucks more then normal, called Verizon.. spoke with a patient nice gal, $9.99 is because of a Premium SMS (the dada.net messages that i never asked for, she said to cancel send a SMS with "cancel" in the txt-body.. i always thought you had to ignore spam, the moment you reply they know you exist..) so there is still $60 left, a chunk of that is caused by 8xx numbers which i thought were free, but they evidentely still cost air-time :]
7 years with Verizon and only once did i have a higher bill (which was close to $700 due to International calls paid by the co, i worked for at that time..) the lady suggested upgrading the plan, which i will not do since this is only the 2nd time i went over (allowance 450 minutes, used 607) she did give me 100 minutes air-time free extra next billing period, which does not help with this bill..
/me is slightly pissed.. can find a few calls that were not free and pretty expensive, but that does not add up to $60)
well, just discussed with bossman and he's paying it but still....
*rant over*

| I remember that scam, was it from buongiorno? And the 8xx numbers are an old scam too. Usually those numbers are in the Caribbean. Dare I say Pirates? |

| $700?? wow... The missus talked into a $360 phone bill once, and the VZW rep was nice enough to upgrade us to a larger plan and back date it a month to drop the bill back to $110. Since then, the missus talks enough to keep our bill at about $210 a month.
$60 worth of phone calls, that certainly can hurt.

| yep.. for # like 877, you get charged air-time (i had a 16 minute one for $7.20 and a 29 minute one for $13.05)
the spam was from dada.net..
oh.. and she also said when i asked about it, Verizon does send out sms message to notify people they are going over the allowed minutes)
luckily the boss was relaxed about it... the helpdesks and whatnot i call i usually use the Q since i have both hands-free so i can "work" while waiting.. starting today i will use the land-line and speakerphone :}
