Default Question about signing up for Verizon family plan with Q

My wife and I would like to sign up for a Verizon family plan. I would have a Q (with a data package) and she would just have a regular (non-smartphone) phone. I know it's possible to do this (family plan with smartphone that has data package added). But this isn't an option on Verizon's website. (They seem to be trying to keep things simple.)

This is the problem: we can get the phones much cheaper via the website - about $220 for both compared to about $400 in store.

So my question is this: If we sign up for two phones and two plans on the website, can we then call or go in to Verizon and have it changed to a family plan?

Thanks, but that's not quite what I need to know. I guess what I'm asking is did anyone here get on a family plan via the internet or did you have to go into the store?

Thanks.

I've discovered that both bestbuy.com and wirefly.com will let me sign up for a family plan with a smartphone.

Is wirefly.com reputable?

Slapout, Do as Eugene suggests...call them and request all the discounts...they'll give them to you.

I was looking online and also seen that it seemed to offer more of a discount, but when I called Verizon I found that all I had to do was mention those discounts and they gave them all to me. I got my Q for $19 bucks after the $100 online discount, $100 New Every Two discount, and the $50 rebate. And she gave me the 1400 minute family share plan with my wife having a regular cell phone, and I got the full data plan for my Q.

Everything I wanted, they gave me...

Thanks for the reply. Who did you call? A national number or just your local store?

You could also go into the store and tell/show them the price on the Net and they will match that price most of the time in the store. I know my wife and I did that when we upgraded and we are on the Family Plan plus Data for me.
