The Q9C is out of stock on VZW.com is this because they are truly sold out or are they making way for the Napoleon?

most likely no,

The Q9c was out of stock a while back, It just means their warehouse is out of em. So they have to order more.

It was out of stock on their site last month as well. Just means the phone is selling well for Verizon.

it actually depends on your location
i am in NJ and they were still on the website last month where as someone in i think the midwest said they were sold out

Try calling a store. I had to get mine replaced last week, .com said out of stock, I went to a store and they replaced no problem.
