Default Q data package

I just called Verizon to lower the $44.99 data to the $29.99 deal. The rep made the change for me and stated it was 10MB/month.

My question is that I am now looking at my Verizon bill and it states for the month I have used 572,617 kilobytes. Doesn't that mean I've used about 560MB for the month? Am I calculating that correctly? Do I really use that much per month?

If I'm correct (hopefully I'm not) I will have to change back to the unlimited plan.

I thought the 29.99 plan was now 5gb and the 44.99 plan was 10gb.. how can 10mbs even be considered a data plan?

The rep stated 10 MB/month. I didn't catch it until after I hung up the phone and looked at the notes I had written while talking to her. Maybe I'll call back to double check.

that is on an old plan isnt it? the 10MB I mean that is what I started with last year this time. Of course I went over but I did kinda keep track.

I know you have to change your calling plan from Americas Choice to the new plans to get the 29.99 plan we are talking about here.

Yes this is on an old plan (America's Choice II Family plan). I'll be calling back on my lunch break and get stuff changed. Does that make me sign another 2yr contract with them?

Thanks a lot.

no it doesnt
changing your account no longer makes you add more years to your contract

Really that is how it was a few years ago...then when we changed plans last year we had to extend the contract another 2 years. i am glad that they have gone back to the "old" way. It makes more customer service sense to me since I dont like being told I "have" to extend a contract even when I dont plan on changing carriers any way lol.

but changing over from america's choice does I believe. After that, then you can change all you want. Data btw never extends your contract. It is an extra like adding sms to your plan.
