As for the pricing, if you have an individual plan, you can get it bundled ($109 for unlimited "email" data and 1350 min). This means you are paying about $29 for data under that plan. If you have a family plan, you have to buy the data plan a la cart which bumps the price up to $45. I have been complaining about this with Verizon for years to no avail. So, I won't hold my breath on a price reduction.

Instead, I contacted Spectec a while ago and asked if they would consider introducing a miniSD wifi card with a microSD card slot. They said it's in development. Should be available in about three months. So, I won't have data plan for too much longer...

Just to clarify. The BB discounted plan is for those only using it for personal accounts. Corporate emails will still require the higher plan.

i JUST resigned a 2 year contract and im about to get it tettered too so im going to be eating that bill every month..

I don't see this happening at all.
ATT has the same prices. Its sprint thats cheap with the sero plans, which are becoming less available.

I just received an email from verizon trying to get me to upgrade my 2nd phone from a Razr to a Blackberry Pearl for $99 BUT that I can get unlimited email AND INTERNET for only $29.99 with a voice calling plan (which I already have anyways) and 2 year agreement.
So, does this apply to the Q also?

My fiancee has the blackberry pearl 8130 and the data package is 29.99 a month. They give lower rates because with a blackberry it is basically manditory that the data package is live and working. The blackberry automatically updates itself on a regular basis. that is why it is required Otherwise it would make large bills. like my q was the month i turned data package off but somehow kept using it.
