I just wish the Q9m/c had wi-fi built into them, then they would be just about perfect upgrades for a classic Q user (me). Maybe the Q9c a little more (Sprint) because it has unlocked GPS (as I understand things).

I'm a little concerned about the VZW 6800 as verizon is up to their old tricks in locking things down and ripping things out. Locked down E911 GPS only, no EVDO Rev A, no WM6 ICS (Internet connection sharing ala Sprint) and no BT DUN profile (which I think pre-empts the phone from tethering to a laptop via BT (which I do with my Q) but I'm not yet sure about this) and not enough RAM (64 M not 128) to comfortably support WM6. And there are call volume and call quality issues and other things. Sounds like a ROM update is in order ASAP.

But as for SIZE, that is a funny thing, because actually the 6800 is smaller and narrower than the Q. Only thicker, about the same thickness as my old dumb bar phone which was no problem to carry. So I'm seriously considering it when my NE2 comes up, hopefully if there are some updates by then.

pdanet.com will help with the tethering part..
the 6800 is thicker, and a lot wider when open
