Default NE2 coming up, stay with Q, Q9c, or BB curve?

New every 2 is coming up, original Q is starting to act a little wonky (camera no longer works) and need some opinions on just getting a replacement Q, upgrading to the new Q9c, or going with the BB curve. Wife has the BB on T-Mobile, but no data plan other that wi-fi. I haven't played with it much, but it sure is sleeker and prettier than the original Q. I have enjoyed my Q, just wondering if there is something else I might like more.

With the BB, I would be giving up the ability to open MS Office files, no BeyondPod (is there an alternative?) which I use daily, but wonder if there is other functionality that I will miss?

I think Verizon offers a 30 day trial, so I may just try the BB out to see if I am missing anything.

Default ...

No matter how many small quirks the Q products have had, I still find the functionality better than BB's. That said, I don't exactly what you do on your PDA/ Smartphone. I love the MS interface, and don't feel the BB interface is as user friendly. That said- go talk to a BB guy, and they'd tell you the opposite. I'd go with t Q9C if you want the GPS stuff, or 9M.

If you're gonna get another Q, go with the Q9c. You'll appreciate the upgrade.

The Blackberry Curve on Verizon is a little different. It doesn't have Wifi and Verizon forces you to get a data plan (it's $30 per month for unlimited for nonbusiness accounts).

If you like to text and email a lot on your phone, I say get the Blackberry. For everything else (web browsing, PDA, music, third party apps) Windows Mobile has a better platform.

2 other things to keep in mind...

1. Although I know there are methods to sync BB with Outlook, I don't know how well it works or if all the bells & whistles are covered (categories, alarms, etc.).

2. Doesn't RIM require an additional per month fee above VZW's for access to the Blackberry e-mail service?

Thanks for the replies. I think I will get a Q9C. The main reason for me is PDAnet. It seems there is no version for the BB, and while I enjoy having it when I need it (rarely) I don't use it enough to justify the extra $15 fee from verizon for tethering.
