Yes, but they charged the credit card $100+tax and I will fill out the $50 rebate. If it is any more than that I ask them to read the note on my account that the rep added saying what the total cost to me would be. Like I said I'll explain after I figure out if it works out.

that sounds kinda like my deal...charged the card 100 + tax, then i mail back the $50 rebate when i get it...eventually making the phone 57 or 58 dollars...something like that..

of course..since getting the phone, i've already ordered a hard case for 20 bucks and a 4gb micro sdhc card for 30, lol, so my running total of extras is already at $50...then if i buy the wifi card, there's another 30/40 bucks too, ahhahahaha

good thing i'll probably sell my ipaq to recover the costs when this is all over

Wifi is still cheaper than data, but MUCH worse on battery. Before getting a Seidio 2100, the OEM unit didn't make it more than 1/2 day of minimal use (email sync every 10 mins over wifi), not much else, before low battery warning.

good to know...i may buy it..i may not..not sure yet...if i do, i definitely wont be auto email synching..or even be able to do that..since my work doesnt have wifi (although i'm tempted to just set up a wireless router at my desk lol)

anyways, i like having the wifi just so i can randomly try to connect to people's networks when i'm out somewhere...etc..

If you're not syncing over wifi, set up the power management to shut it off after 1 min. of no wifi/Q use, that should help with the battery. Works with sync too, but doesn't always turn back off when it's done syncing, so doesn't help a lot.

I ended up getting it for $50....I think...

$250-$100 for signing up for the data plan=$150-$50 for NE2 credit=$100-$50 mail in rebate=$50 final price.

I ordered it online while talking to a rep on the phone, then she scheduled a time to call me back when the phone arrived. She called me back the night the Q9m came and did all the activation stuff and canceled the data plan (switched to pay as you go).

She said I won't get charged for the data plan since I never really had it with active service, but I'll have to monitor the next bill to be sure.

i basically got the same deal..except the guy just gave me the 100 dollars off, up front, and didnt make me activate data for a day..

Yeah I couldn't get the to do that, but since the lady took care of all the other stuff I just let her do it since it ended up costing the same.

I just upgraded from a Q1 to the Q9m and got it for $3.50 (tax) after rebate. It was $250 - $100 data plan credit - $100 NE2 - $50 rebate which I just mailed in yesterday.
