no way, this lady did not know what she was talking about...

i'm pretty sure an 'advanced device credit' is an additional rebate you can earn, when you sign up for one of the special data plans....it has nothing to do with the 'online discount'...

i would just hang up and keep calling back till you get someone who is going to take care of you...

Thanks for the quick reply! I will try again, this was a billing lady that I asked instead of sales because I was figuring out another issue (they have our renewal dates as 22/24 months instead of 20, but they kinda fixed it). Maybe she just wasn't sure.

Oresteez is right. I bought my phone online. I got my new every two discount, plus the advance device credit, PLUS the rebate. Free shipping, AND, it arrived the next day.

I've heard of people calling and telling them that they wanted to buy the phone, but you don't know much about it so you want to talk to an expert on smartphones. I think they have a different department for PDA phones, either way some reps definitely know more than others.

Tried calling CS tonight with no luck. I even escalated to a manager but he wouldn't budge. Threatened to cancel my contract still no luck. I was hoping to get the phone for $100 after online and mail-in rebate. My new every two isn't up until April. I'm currently on family share with my wife. I'm just not sure that the phone is worth $200. Any other suggestions? What are the chances of the phone going on sale anytime soon?

I too am hoping to get it for $99 after the $50 rebate. ($149.99 up front after the $100 online discount).

You say your NE2 isn't up until April. Are you eligible to get a phone? If not that explains why...you have to satisfy 20/24 months on your contract before you are eligible to upgrade.

Right, my NE2 isn't until April so I wouldn't get the extra $50 off, but you are allowed to upgrade at any time on VZW for promo price, provided that you sign back into another 2 year agreement. The problem is that the Q9M is still $250 with two year agreement. The $100 online discount is supposed to be for new customers only. They would not grant me the $100 off. So the best price I could do would be $249 with the $50 mail-in which is $200 total. I was hoping to get the extra $100 for the online discount to get it for $100 total. Good luck in trying to get a rep to give you this discount. I suppose it's possible if you get somebody who doesn't understand how the online pricing works such as the post above. In my case, I even tried to explain to the manager that I've been a customer for many years and wanted to know if they could do anything for me, but they did not seem to care.

I didn't know you can upgrade at any time...so if any phone goes on sale you can upgrade to it even if you weren't finished or 20 months on your contract? Why does the My Account online only let you upgrade at 20 months?

I think I'm going to call again tomorrow and see what they'll do about the $100 discount.

You should be able to upgrade every year if you're willing to renew your two year agreement. The problem is this price is the two year agreement price and does not include any discounts for new subscribers. The $100 online right now for the Q is new customers only.

Just to follow up on my last post, in my account when you select the line you want to upgrade, there is a message regarding the "annual upgrade" option. So, you can upgrade before NE2 and still get promo price. See below

Annual Upgrade available for My Account customers

You can get a new phone every year with Annual Upgrade. Sign up for a 2-year agreement on a calling plan of at least $49.99 and you can purchase a new phone at its promotional price through My Account every year with a 2-year renewal (upgrade fee may apply).

Please post back with your results with customer service as I and others are trying to do what you're doing and get the extra $100 discount even though we're current customers.

when the guy that i talked to gave me the extra 100 off (online discount) he definitely sounded like he knew what he was doing..and was just concerned with my satisfaction...

i made sure to be very polite, and say that the people in the store said that all the phones should have the extra 100 dollars off...and that the q9m not having it was some sort of website error...

i also mentioned that other people i know have called up, and were given the 100 off when they bought via phone...

it's probably a matter of getting the right person...i might have just gotten lucky the first time...

it's a great phone, but i wouldn't spend 200 for it..not when it's possible to get it for half that...
