The best luck will be had by calling them up. Tell them they are offering the phone online for $149.99 and that you would like to do that and use your New-after-2 credit. You'll get the phone for $50. In fact I lost my motorola q and the retail stores offered nothing but the $419 sucker price. I called up and got the $150 over the phone from the sales rep. I don't even hit two years on this contract until October. If the first service rep doesn't want to help you try again and see if you can't get better help. Never hurts to be real nice and let them know you just want to see what they can do for YOU.
Thats my $0.02. |
I did try that initially, but I was told "that's the price for a new customer and we can't combine those discounts". I just gave up after that.
I went to a brand new store that opened up around the corner from me, and it was being run by a handful of 20 year olds. I mentioned the $49 thing but this guy acted like somebody that was afraid to lose his job. He wouldn't budge on the pricing and only offered the Q Black for $279 + 50 MIR, going right off his chart. I told them "yeah but I could get it for $229 online right now without a rebate" to which he just said "yeah but then you have to wait to get it." Jeez. I'd rather wait 2 days for the phone than deal with a MIR. So I just walked out and ordered it online yesterday for $229.
At least I knew not to order a minisd from them for ripoff prices. Got a 80x 2GB card from newegg for $25 on its way.
