You might want to read posts around about Battery Life on the Q. It sucks, basically. I ended up getting a 3200 maH battery that sticks out the back like a luggage rack on a car. It doesn't bug me b/c I just throw my phone in my purse, but I never made it through 3 hours with the original battery.

Of course, I do all that non-teenaged stuff/business email/calendar/etc stuff, so that might not be a concern for you.

Good luck!

And, what is 'BigRed'?
It's exactly the same phone. The Q9m has a red strip. The Q9c has a silver strip. That's the only physical difference.

Blocking data is your best bet with these PDA phones cause not having a plan can cost a fortune. Of course, these means no picture messages. But, I think you would really enjoy tweeking the phone.

Also, if you do decided to get the data plan. It's $30 for unlimited data for the Q9m and it's $45 for unlimited data for the original Q. Keep that in mind.

Actually, you can get the plan on the original Q now. I was given that option today when looking at Change Plan on verizonwireless.com.

I posted it in the thread on the Price Change.

Ahh, Thank you all for the input.

As for the q9c, I meant the size being cheaper. It's substantially smaller than the q9m.

And, yeah.. I think I am going to go for the q9m, now. xD. I know. such a change in mind. But, eh. the Q seems rather old. And, yeah.. I have heard about the battery life before, and to see another mentioning of it.. I'm done. xD

Q9m, it is. 8D And, hey. It looks great showing the "big red" colors. (:

Thank you for all the input, any additional input would be awesome, too.

And, honestly. the red stripe isn't all that bad. It's not bad to be a v-whore.

As for the hatin' on the q1s.. I think it does come down to the wifi and stuff like that. Personally, the keyboard doesn't phase me. It looks good. And, I text over 15,000 times a month. I have the alias, which the keys are LAME. And, I manage amazingly. I don't mind any keyboard (beside the enV, That's just lame). But, yes. I think all of the "bad reviews" are from the lack of business crap that the "normal" PDA user would look for.
I have an enV...amazing keyboard...and the Motorola Q9 series Keyboard is compareable to it...just putting in my two cents.

According to Verizon's website the Q9m and Q9c have the exact same dimensions.

The only difference is that the Q9m has the Media Homescreen and the Q9c has VZ Navigator.
