MMS to E-Mail address? - Motorola Q Forum

I'm trying to send a picture messages to mobile(at)facebook(dot)com but the phone keeps telling me the message couldn't be sent.

I guess Verizon wants you to set up an E-mail address that makes you have to use a data connection?

My brother can do MMS to E-Mail on his KRZR but I can't with the Q 9c. Sort of disappointing.

(I don't have a data plan.)

Please don't answer my questions with another question - I'm not a noob and have the basic functionality working. I can send the texts to FBOOK.

To send pictures it asks you (I already read the whole FAQ page by the way) to send the message to mobile(at)facebook(dot)com, not FBOOK, and it will send you a confirmation code.

HOWEVER.

I go to send a message and the phone pops up with an alert, "Not all the messages could be sent." Therefore, I don't get a confirmation code to enter in for Mobile Uploads

It will not send MMS messages to the E-Mail address. What I want to know is: Can the Q 9c send to an E-Mail address via MMS on Verizon. If not, what's the chances I can stomp into my Verizon Store to rant at someone to give me that feature, since it's on the more basic phones?

I apologize. But there's obvious things that really don't need to be answered. If I'm asking about a more advanced thing, I thought it would be obvious I got the first part done.

Yes, I am able to send the regular text messages to FBOOK, but I'm asking about something else.

I search all the time. I didn't find anything about MMS w/ Email addresses on here. I also just searched the VZW site and apparently other devices can do MMS to an E-mail address. link

Why the Q 9c can't escapes me. We just upgraded to the Family Select plan so we could have unlimited messaging.

I'm doing a large charity ride (I'm a cyclist) this August and I want to be able to send my pictures to facebook at the various stop points during the ride.

Edit: just found - Motorola Q\Q 9m instructions. It clearly says you can enter an E-mail address.

Do you have E-Mail\Data or are you doing it through MMS? I don't have a data plan or E-Mail account(s) set up on my phone. I hope it wasn't a *228 I did that messed this up for me. Maybe I should do *228 again?

Or am I going to need to make a 3rd trip to the Verizon Store? (I had to make a second today to exchange because the right side key was broken on the one I got yesterday.)

You see, I can send pix to other phones, but not an E-mail address. (I tried my own E-Mail addresses too.)
