major probs sync'ing - Motorola Q Forum

i have just gotte a new blackQ a few days ago so im assuming is the latest software. on my old q i had everything sync'd up with outlook on my PC. so i was able to update all my contacts, calendar, and send/recieve emails through my pop3 account. now that i got my new phone, i set it up accordingly and decided to resync everything back into the phone. all my contacts were restored and all my calendar appointments up to that day. but not when i add appointments onto my q, they will not update onto my pc. not before you start flaming me and giving me the obvious reasons for why it wouldnt work, let it be known that ive had the phone for about a year i know my way around the settings pretty well. ive checked the "what to sync" and "when to sync" settings. and for some odd reason i do recieve maybe one email a week from the pop account on my phone although outlook on my pc has been recieving emails the entire time. i also cannot send out emails from my phone. talking, texting and internet work fine. my old q worked perfectly with sync'ing to my pc. its when i got this new one i started having probs. any ideas on whats going on? im begining to think its the software in the phone. because when i go to whireless sync and try to click on set up account, itll "communicate" for a little bit and then ill just get a glimpse of the set up screen and itll go back to the wireless sync menu. i just want my phone to work like how it used to. can anyone help?? oh... also, when i log on to the www.wirelesssync.vzw.com everything that i input into my q is there, just not in outlook on my PC. weird.

so now im getting a bunch of giberish emails sent to my outlook fomr synclogc@wsync.com that say "
SYNCLOGC

V1/VZ2LTjIP0C4nBqfLcvu748oVHSesKBE-tK/Z(:CGOLCNYS". i just got 4 of them in a period of about 1 and a half hours. all with random giberish like the above. does anyone know what this means? so far 33 views and no replies. HELP!!!

is this still an ongoing issue? I've had issues occur because of my cable being old or loose. You could also try deleting the partnership and beginning again.

what partnership??? i can activesync to my computer and itll update fine but the wirelessync is not working like how it used to. i could input things into my q and they would automatically be backed up to my outlook and i would get my emails all the time. now i get emails once in a while and theyre DOUBLED so i get the same email twice at the same time. also i cant send out emails from my q but i was able to before. i jus twant me q running the way it used to be. the worst thing thats happened is that verizon tech telling me to upgrade my firmware!!!!

slow down. you're syncing via exchange or what account? what wireless sync are you using?

IMHO verizon wireless sync is average at best.
So if you can sync fine via cable, then as mentioned before, please tell us if you using exchange, etc.

im using whatever sync that came with the phone. i can log onto it at www.wirelesssync.vzw.com . with my previous phone it was able to sync wirelessly so didnt need to connect it to the computer via usb.

sorry I am unfamiliar with that appication and cannot comment intelligently on it.
