Desktop software "Irreversible Damage"

First of all, I'm new to the Motorola Q and this is my first post. Love the site! I've had a Samsung I-730 for about a year and a half and finally decided I needed a change. I had been reading the reviews on the Q and I really liked what it had to offer. Not wanting to pay full price, I went through eBay and found a decent used phone that would hold me over until my contract was up. I received the phone and quickly took it to Verizon to have my service transferred. Everything was going great until about a week later when the phone just died. I quickly plugged it in and completely charged it. When I tried to turn it on it continually remained stuck with the verizon logo on the screen. First stop was this forum. I tried everything without any result. Earlier today I went to Verizon and they told me that the phone had irreversible damage! Luckily I had insurance that I learned was tranferable to any phone on my account. Boy was I relieved! I called asurion and am expecting a new phone this monday! Great ending to a long frustrating story.

Yeah. They're sending a new battery, charger, and owner's manual. I'm back to my old I-730 for the meantime. I learned from the Verizon technician that I can switch from phone to phone free of charge on-line.

you can switch online as long as its cell to cell or smartphone to smartphone. otherwise you have to call. Been there several times myself

Informative

Received my new phone yesterday. Everything turned out great! All my photos and videos were still on my original memory card. The only odd thing is that the phone is unbranded. Everything is the same with the exception that there are no logos anywhere on the phone. The phone also seems to be a few millimeters wider. You can't tell from looking at it but my hard snap-on cases won't fit. Oh well, better than paying full price for a new phone. I'll just wait until September to upgrade.
