If you get a great deal, get the 9c, or hold out until it comes out then get the 9m. both have the same processor, but the 9c has more available ram....

I don't think it looks bad . . . it's just that the Q9c looks more corporate.

Push for the $100 credit at verizon. I just updated and was able to get the $100 credit as well as the $50 rebate. Good luck though. It took a manager and an email from customer service to get that. Seems like every time I am ready for an upgrade it takes a manager!

If he's on a family share plan, the only person who will get the $100 credit is the main line. I have three phones on my share plan, and my better half gets the credit.

Either wait for them to go on sale, try to find a cheap one of ebay, or stop crying.

We all here are stuck under the same arraignment you are. Hell, I had to pay $200 for my Q 9M and I think it was worth every penny. I've had 5 Pocket PC/Smartphones, and this one is by far the best! When one comes out with WiFi, I'll consider upgrading then.

As for looks, I think they are sharp, and I've had all the "business man" phones. This one hangs in there. Hell it's the same size of a blackberry, just thinner!

that is the downside of it
but it appears that spectec is making a wifi/sd card

I got my Q9m over one month ago. Just went down to my local Verizon store looking to upgrade to a smartphone for my new every two. Had the Q9m in mind. I asked how much it would be after the new every two. Ended up being like $60-70 after the $50 mail in rebate including headset, case, and car charger..even gave a pack of extra covers for the earpiece on the headset.

Seemed like a great deal to me.

I spoke to a CS agent my local Verizon store and they quoted me $200+ after a $50 instant and $50 mail in rebate. What would I need to do/say in order to get this phone for $60-70. They said that the phone was $300+ minus $100 rebates = $200+.

I'm not sure the correct terminology, but your "local Verizon" is probably an authorized retailer or whatever and not actually Verizon. I know here at college we have tons of these crappy stores that charge WAY more than the Verizon location back home. Are there any stores near you that show up on the store locator at www.verizonwireless.com?

Really the phone I think was well under $70 AR. All the accessories brought the price up.
